The Progress Report

In a couple of weeks, this blog will turn a year old. Come to think of it, I’m going to add one more year to age real soon as well. On this new blogging episode (the latest of three), I’ve posted 162 articles and received over 27 thousand hits.

I don’t know but maybe this entry is the continuation of this. I really don’t know if being a niche blogger is the way to go. A part of me wants to, but sticking to a particular topic dramatically limits the topics that I could blog about. As much as I want to churn out articles that elucidate Atheism, I just find it too draining. I often feel like writing another article regarding Atheism would just force me to write the same things that I did in my past entries – all of them were well-received and had a LOT of comments.

Oh well.

Based on my recent posts though, my niche is slowly getting defined. I’m blogging a lot more about national issues now with the occasional posts regarding music and my personal life. I’m still not comfortable about keeping a socio-political blog and I would like to write more Atheism related pieces. The inspiration hit me during the summer months last year – hopefully, those same things kick in or else I’ll be damned blogging about the 2007 Elections

Why waste a post? Lemme give everyone some link love.

First, I would like to congratulate Implement Project‘s bassist Bojit Herrera for winning as UP Manila University Student Council Chairperson. Good luck in your new job and here’s to hoping that you will serve your fellow students well. On the other hand Bikoy picks up the pieces after coming up short in his own campaign to become his college council’s top elected student official. Fortunately, he’s doing fine.

Jorge voices out his distaste for the culture of political accomodation in our country. In the end, it really seems that the Powers That Be are the only ones with the hand on where and how fast the government would go. On the flipside, Sexy Mom gushes about her parenting style. It’s not nearly as conventional as most approaches, but you can’t argue with results as she is the mother of count ‘em seven kids.

If you’re bored with the bland WordPress Admin theme, why don’t you check out Jaypee Harabadas’ new find. Click away, download the theme and give your wp-admin page a face lift. Speaking of facelifts, Jhed is asking if he needs one. The ego has not yet landed, so go tell him if he’s good looking or not.

Aaron Roselo is peddling showbiz chismis – just like always. To show how thrilled he was about seeing semi-naked men in red capes, Ade Magnaye recounts the experience of watching 300. Alex Maximo decides to reveal more of himself by going through his high school and college alma mater. To offset the effects of desk work, business trips and free coffee, Arun Singh decides to take up badminton.

Village Tickler thinks agrarian reform is already a matter of life and death for the now-bald farmers from Negros. While Kevin is still blogging despite the violent and chaotic environment that awaits him at UPLB. Hala….
