New Wolfgang Album In The Works!

Jim Ayson recently shared via Philmusic.com that Basti Artadi, Mon Legaspi and Manuel Legarda are currently working on what would be Wolfgang’s sixth studio album. While some people would contest that not having Wolf Gemora on drums keeps it from being officially Wolfgang, hardcore fans who have already been waiting since 2001 for a new album couldn’t care less.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock – or you don’t care much for Wolfgang — January probably thrilled you out of your wits or left you very frustrated. If you were one of the people fortunate enough to catch them once or twice (like me), you’re probably really giddy to see the next concert.

If you were pissed at yourself, this was probably the one that met you at the Music Museum ticket booth! We all make mistakes, but you have to admit, procrastinating on reserving Wolfgang tickets is probably among the worst ones you could make – especially because they’ve been practically MIA since 2002.

They promised that the DVD of the concert will be out by April – that’s just a little over a week from now!

If you’re wondering how in the world are Basti, Manuel and Mon are recording, you’re not alone. The three of them are on three different cities – Mon is currently working in Hong Kong, Manuel is still in the suburbs of Manila while Basti is now based across the Pacific! Believe it or not, they’re recording everything by sharing files online!

WOLFGANG HAS FOUR DEMO TRACKS AVAILABLE!

Yup, with your trusty cellular phone, you can now download any of the four tracks that will be featured on Wolfgang’s still untitled album! You can only use your cellular phone for downloading and each download will set you back fifty pesos. Polytones and Truetones are also available for download.

Tracks

  1. Deathsquad – originally called “RP Death Squad”. This was played during the concert.
  2. Enemy
  3. Diaspora
  4. John Of The Cross

I have downloaded all four tracks and I’m loving it despite the demo quality. Don’t ask me to upload them because I won’t. C’mon, download ‘em! You’ll be happy you did!

How to:

  1. Get your cellular phone. If you don’t have one, buy, borrow or steal one first – arranged according to convenience. If you’re on pre-paid make sure that you have enough credits to make the downloads you want to make. Make sure that you are a Smart of Globe subscriber. If you’re not, grab a pen and paper and write NAGPAUTO AKO SA SUN!!! Attach the piece of paper on your back.
  2. Go to your phone’s internet browser. If you can’t locate it your phone probably doesn’t have one or it’s STILL TURNED OFF YOU IDIOT!
  3. Enter the address http://125.5.124.39/WAPcentral/ymusic/web/index.php in the browser navbar. I know you’re lazy, so just use http://tinyurl.com/2vfxb9 instead.
  4. Go to MUSIC and download the songs you want to get. Downloading will start shortly after you make your choice of song and format (tones or mp3)
  5. I know it’s tempting, but don’t press cancel during the downloading process!!! If you’re really curious, go ahead and try.
  6. Once the download finishes, listen to the track/s and remember that you’re 50 pesos poorer thanks to Wolfgang and the information I provided here.
