Jorge Garbajosa of the Toronto Raptors dislocated his ankle after a nasty fall during a game against the Boston Celtics. This is a big blow to the Raptors’ campaign considering that the 29 year-old rookie (yes, you read that right) is among their more steady players.

That’s why I don’t jump high not mix it up in the middle whenever I get to play ball. I shoot jump shots with not much lift so that I wouldn’t risk excessive impact on my busted knees. Hehehe. Injuries aren’t too nice.
I get sprained a lot because I don’t like wearing high cut basketball shoes. Well, it’s the price you pay.

I’ve had my share of sprained ankles. I can safely say that I’ve sprained an ankle atleast 6 times each and had a plaster cast once because it was sprained so bad.
The one with Tony Allen, I saw that on tv. You’re right, you should stop the play when the whistle blows. That was really stupid. He got hurt all by himself. Hehe
A cast? Ouch. I’ve had a bad sprain before while playing in a internet forum league (Pinoyexchange). I was so badly sprained that I that I had to crawl from the parking lot to my building’s lobby - that took all of 20 minutes. When I was in lobby, I called up one of my friends to ask him to take my office chair from my room to use as an improvised wheel chair. I was on crutches for the next 2 1/2 weeks because it was swollen (and turning black and blue)and it hurt like hell. I couldn’t even place minimal weight on it.
To add to the agony, most of my classes where in the third and fourth floors of a building that doesn’t have an elevator. wahahaha.
