hi benj, first, I want to thank you for dropping by my site and say a few kind words to our injured Raptors Player Jorge Garbajosa, which was quite a serious injuries to his left leg. He'll be out for the season and at least six months.
I also think that whatever one's belief, the mention of God and Religion should not be done in Political Campaign or any Event that are not Religious in nature.
Reminds me last election, when one of a nominees for MP , a fundamentalist Muslin praised Allah and Invoking His wisdom and power for his candidacy, he was immediately censored even by his fellow Muslims and later apologized for Mixing his Religion and God with Canadian politics. Not sure if he won the seat.
We too have freedom of speech, but wisdom dictates that with such freedoms come responsibilities, and in our society respect for others is foremost, even competing politicians, religions and beliefs, that is why church people are even exempted from our anti-hate law as long as the hatred is in discussion of their religious belief, privately.
