Mad Twitter!
Undoubtedly, Twitter has become one of the most inescapable web-based applications of 2007. For the benefit of the Luddites who refuse to go with the flow of technological advancement, Twitter is basically a site that lets you send out 140-character long messages (or twits) to your Twitter friends and the other people (and sometimes, strangers, stalkers and fans) who would like to know about your current state of mind and whereabouts.
The blogging community has embraced the Twitter phenomenon whole-heartedly. Almost every blogger I know has subscribed - everyone who matters has. Some bloggers use it to broadcast new posts (bloggers like Alex and Jhed come to mind), late-breaking news (like Ederic and sometimes, even Shari and Manolo) and funny rants and quips (e.g. Ade, The Mike Villar et. al.). During its early stages, people (myself included) were a bit hesitant to abuse and exploit the system fully, but once it apparent that support for mobile phones was also included as Twitter’s service, the bandwagon effect proved itself yet again.

Thanks to Jeff, I was introduced to a compact yet convenient application that allows one to post twits from your desktop instead of having to login via a web browser. Mad Twitter is a no-frills downloadable program that checks twits every so often (you can customize this) and allows you post your messages via that small text box at the bottom. It doesn’t hurt that the interface looks real nice as well.
Go try it now and tell me what you think. :p

I’m using Twitterfox. Obviously, it’s a FF plug-in. Hehe.
Been using MadTwitter for ages. Am loving it.
I’ve pretty much tried a lot of Twitter programs but I haven’t used this one yet. I might. I’m currently on Twitterfox now, the one I found most convenient. It’s pretty spiffy too.
I’ve been looking for an app like this. All those I’ve downloaded didn’t work because of connection issues. I hope this one does. :p
Cool app! I’m gonna try it now. Thanks!
i have been twitting for a while now, but tell me tell me–what is this MadTwitter and Twitterfox that Ade and Juice are talking about?
Downloading it now… salamat din Jeff.
[...] thanks to Benj, I found out about [...]
Hehe. A couple of my friends have also jumped to the Twitter bandwagon.
As for me, keeping my Twitter tab open is convenient enough.
Still not jumping on the bandwagon. :p
yea yea… like what I told jeff! I don’t want to get one just to fit in… but he managed to make me get one somehow… and yea can twitter be addicting??? I’m trying out madtwitter…
You call them tweets, not twits. Don’t ask me how that came about; I have no idea myself. Not to be confused with Leo Laporte’s TWiT. Confused yet?
“… everyone who matters has”
That’s pretty fun to me. Ehrr, plenty of people who matter haven’t signed up for Twitter. :p Hehe.
I succumbed to Twitter a few weeks ago, but I’m hesitant to display it on my blog… I’m not too sure if I want to expand my online presence. I suppose I don’t have an all-consuming need to broadcast every little mundane thing in my life, lol.
No…. down with Twitter! Well, at least I’ll never use it. I don’t want people to know what’s happening to me all the time…
Hmmm I should really try Twitter
Actually I tried putting Twitter on my blog last June. But I sucked at updating it, because I agree with Fruity’s last statement. Hehe. So tinanggal ko na lang..
