Two-Thirds & The UPLB Intervarsities

Thank you Manolo for standing next to me for this! Hehe. Why Two-Thirds? Well, just like MLQ3, I’m also the third in a line of Benjamins. I’d like to thank this opportunity to congratulate the organizers of the event for a job well done! Hopefully, this event encouraged the high school bloggers into more productive and inclusive forms of blogging whether it will be for social awareness, mobilization, information or business considerations.
I would like to publicly reiterate my intentions to join your organization. Though I may not be as BIG as some of you are, I think I can pull my weight in certain aspects. Hopefully, I can contribute to this worthwhile project to orient upstarts and greenhorns into the art and science of blogging.
The UPLB Intervarsities
The UPLB IVs is slated to start tomorrow and UP Manila will be sending a strong contingent of five teams for the tournament. Despite not fielding a considerable number of debaters from the College of Medicine (Robert, Ciacia and Lee), I think the lineup is still very formidable. UP Manila won the championship last year with the duo of Adrian Rabe and Robin Lucas (oh lookie! he’s my teammate this year!)
The teams are as follows:
UP Manila A - Alvina Antonio and Ruffa San Pedro
UP Manila B - Justin Rivera and Aya Bautista
UP Manila C - Fonzy Aguado and Darwin
UP Manila D - Keith Narvacan and Leah
UP Manila E - Robin Lucas and Benj Espina
Adjudicators - Dr. Adrian Rabe, DS, Bea and Alvin.
All UP campuses will be sending their best debaters in preparation for the National Debate Championships this October.
Good luck to everyone! Debates start at 1 PM. The champion will be determined by Sunday night!

And I keep forgetting that Alvina is part of the UPMDC - it’s been a long time since I’ve seen her. Regards to her!
