Atheista - › Davao Photo

I’m used to seeing the words Davao Photo on my Yahoo Messenger window courtesy of Alleba, so it’s quite a shock to see somebody else seemingly promoting a blog about photos of Davao. To my surprise, the link points to a different site. Featuring other people’s blogs on my own site has been a habit of mine to help them get their first few hits and feed subscriptions. I remember the initial thrill that my first visitors and visitor comments brought and how it inspired me to write more so I always try to give new bloggers a chance to be exposed to my readership. I think my readers are appreciative, polite and very willing to support promising upstarts. I remember featuring the likes of Coy – now the toast of the Filipino Blog Community, just I had predicted, Totomai and Ellen.

With your indulgence, I would like to invite you to visit another upstart’s blog. Davao Photo Blog (Sana) is a work in progress in the sense that the person behind it is also in his journey to acquiring a trusty digital camera to hopefully launch his photo blog from. Running the site is the very able and thirty year old web designer Ramesh Dataya who tries to chronicle the images of Davao from literally someone else’s lenses.

He only started blogging (again) this month, but his five initial entries hint at the beginnings of an interesting and promising personal log. It’s always great to say that one was able to see someone before he/she was big, right? I sincerely think that this could be one of those chances. Don’t miss it.
