After A Full Month Of Visit Sagada

Visit Sagada was a project that was started almost purely on impulse and one month in, I’m just startled and amazed at how great the reception has been. Despite minimal press from other bloggers, Visit Sagada has definitely taken off quite nicely. It’s actually quite refreshing that most of the traffic, comments and e-mails that we get at Visit Sagada don’t come from the people within the blog community. Though it’s always nice to be commended by your peers, it’s even better to help other people with useful information. Time and time again, people at online forums have struggled to plan their trips to Sagada due to the lack of organization of the information available online. With Visit Sagada now existent, it’s great to hear stuff about how we’ve made it a bit easier for those who brave the trip up north.

For the month of March, the site amassed a great number of unique hits, total page views and pages/visit ratio. We’re talking about a month-old site here! Though numbers in the thousands are always impressive, I think the 5.65 pages/visit stat is the most flattering. The average visitor also spends almost 10 minutes browsing the pages of Visit Sagada. Bar Exam Results Are Out: Congrats Ate Thea!

The Bar Exam results were released today and I’m so happy to see Anthea Magpantay‘s name on the list of  passers. If it weren’t for Thea, I wouldn’t have debated for UP Manila and half the posts in this blog would’ve never happened. Congrats to everyone else who made it.

The nasopharynx is the the space behind the nose that is continuous with the oropharynx – the space directly behind the mouth. One of the most common presenting side is a neck mass – due to infiltration of cancer cells of neck lymph nodes — and Adducul’s teammates claim that they’ve noticed the mass since Purefoods’ last championship series. The Grand Plan To Affirm One’s Ego

When one is exposed to an act that supposedly showcases self-sacrifice and love that seeks nothing in return, it’s easy to get lost in the melodrama and forget the nuances of the entire situation. Who wouldn’t be moved at the thought of someone you don’t know willingly suffering through hours of flagellation and a brutal crucifixion? Who wouldn’t be humbled when someone regarded as superior voluntarily gives up the position to just be up to the mercy of crazed men?

Millions. Yes, those were rhetorical questions, but once you really take a step back from this overly romanticized lie fabricated by people from two thousand years ago, it would be clear that the logic that they used was clearly flawed if not terribly lacking. The idea of having a nobleman choosing to take of his fancy garb along with his status to be subject to the worst that man could dish out is touching to say the least, but one factor is different here. That nobleman is a mere human. He did not choose to be put into that situation and sacrificing himself for the supposed greater good were decisions that he made based on the limited variables that he could control.

Let’s try it this way then. Continue Reading »
