Updated List Of Ten: Pinoymountaineer makes the cut.

It seems like Spread Rationality has been sabotaged by same people who stole the crystal skull, so I’ll take this opportunity to nominate another deserving blog.

The Shift

As the blog community grows, more and more people are moving towards buying their own domains and hosting their content on rented out databases. The more grizzled veterans would probably not have any trouble getting the hang of it but of course, new comers would always be faced with the daunting challenge of figuring things out for themselves. Luckily, there are quality resources out there that focus on web hosting tutorials. The entries pretty straight-forward and easy to read and it would be very comprehensible for users of any skill level. Hosting is now cheaper than ever so it may just be the time to take the plunge and get your self pro-hosted.

Pressing For Filipino Voices. Please Join The Philippine Issues Writing Project

It’s official. Nick has just named myself and Dean Jorge Bocobo as  the two Press Secretaries for Filipino Voices. You’ve seen how I work so you could expect more of the same from me if and when a media outfit would like to hear Filipino Voices’ side on things.  I am likewise flattered to be sharing the position with THE DJB.

His article makes the inherent statement, or question, that a great majority of our bright minds would rather become nurses and work abroad, than get involved in the dirty and corrupt politics of government… And thus, he poignantly asks, if nursing has become apolitical? Quite an intriguing thesis really.

Coy submitted a video of a Jun Lozada campus speech. The issue Coy is focusing on is the defunct NBN deal. And I can understand why he would choose such an entry. The issue is still not resolved, and it goes to the heart of what everyone is thinking, the corruption that pervades the Arroyo Administration. The video has that hidden message.. the youth.. their indignation.. their growing awareness and willingness to participate.. Continue Reading »

Cardiac Events

I featured this video before so I guess this would be a good reminder. Despite the advances in medicine sudden cardiac arrest continues to be a leading cause of death in developed and developing nations. The video gives people an idea about the dynamics of cardiac arrest the expected normal behavior of heart tissue before, during and after  hypoxic insult.
