I was surfin' and came across your site. Nice articles. The kind of work you do seems tiring but very much rewarding.

Just the usual UP sentiment… I hope nobody nags at me if I blame it on the government. Had our hospitals been given enough budgets, nobody will be rejected or put on hold for inability to pay hospital bills. The medical profession has the mission to save lives. Such lives are priceless and such mission should not be constrained by fancy profits.

IMHO, gov't hospitals makes the best doctors.

Does PGH currently do things to address these problems, like the lack of resources? ERs have "emergency" in its name for a reason.

i don't have academic sources but i remember something like millenia ago, people (like Noah and Abraham) lived to their 800s. so we're not really extending our lives that much. but then you claim to be an atheist so you wouldn't even probably give that a second thought. but what i really wanted to say was… you look like Kumar.

Buhay medisina seems so exciting. True, PGH ER has notorious ambiance with a lot of drama (and comedy too). But here is where the country's best doctors are trained with their emergency duty.*ehem! ehem! *
