For those who went to elementary school during the early 90s, an excursion to the Science Centrum is probably one event that bonds kids from that generation. Where else can children play with a plasma ball (an image only seen in the OBB of the now-defunct weekly sitcom Okay Ka Fairy Ko ) and create the illusion of floating in air with the help of mirrors? It was a seemingly magical place but instead of just leaving kids bewildered and puzzled, the Science Centrum also offered the scientific explanations and concepts that made the exhibits easier to understand for your average elementary student.
Sadly, Science Centrum closed shop in its original location near UP Manila. But as the title of this post would suggest, it is now back and running at the RIVERBANKS MALL in the city of Marikina. To boost awareness on this new development, the people behind the resurrection of the Science Centrum are inviting bloggers on November 22 (2:00 PM) for a free tour. Questions will also be entertained after the tour.
