Wolfgang was also able to release a number of music videos. I’m sure there was a psychedelic video for the single “Hell Looks” off the album Wurm but I have no way of getting a copy. The song was released in the mid 90s and if you combine that with the low number of internet users and negligible penetration rate of music channels back in the day, you would realize how hard it is to find a digital copy of the video.
The oldest video that I could find in Youtube is that of “Atomica” from the Serve In Silence album. The video seems to have been shot inside the sewer. The other parts of the video hints at the lyrical content of the song – specifically on the perils of technology and human greed. It’s a great piece but there are parts wherein it just feels that the people are moving too slow relative to the general pace of the music.
The first single from Black Mantra “No Falter” was included in the Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within Official Soundtrack for the Asian Release. The video featured scenes from the movie and some parts were obviously just repeated ad nauseam until the track ended. It’s a shame because the song could’ve really inspired a very strong video as well.
“Meckam” – a song presumably about addiction and procrastination, is my favorite video by Wolfgang. The visual is at the same pace as the music and in fact augments and amplifies the heaviness that the track provides. It also delves on a little bit of CGI.
