Congratulations Ermon, You Win The Wolfgang Villains CD!!!

So after tearing up pieces of paper and writing the names of the people who joined my modest raffle, I’ve finally randomly selected a winner by way of random selection.

The winner is ermon! He left the second comment on the original contest post.  I will contact him immediately to arrange the claiming of his prize. He left this comment:

it has always been Halik ni Hudas for me. It’s a really in-you-face song that talks about corruption (well, that’s how I view it), and how bad it has been affecting our society. This song really opened my mind.

My first Wolfgang concert was ALIVE 2007. I still can’t forget that day January 6, 2007. Up until now I still can’t believe that I was actually there watching WOlfgang and Razorback play together in one bad-ass gig. Wolfgang has been one o my major musical influences. I am a guitar player and Wolfgang contributed a lot to my musical preferences, the way I write riffs and pretty much expanded my musical influences more than I could have ever imagined. I salute Wolfgang. Wolfgang rules!

Thank you  Danny, Carmela,  j0n, tambang,  JP, Bill Langit (2 entries), evEr and charles reyes for joining. :) Let me link to your sites as a consolation prize.

Thank you to Nick for promoting the contest.

For those who are curious, here’s how the voting went down:

Halik ni Hudas from the eponymous album received two votes – incidentally, those two votes were the first votes cast. Danny and the eventual winner Ermon voted for this track.

Bill Langit fly-voted his way to pushing Sanctified to a grand total of  two votes.

Mata Ng Diyos, Undertow, Semenelin, Roadworthy Man, Natutulog Kong Mundo and Cast of Clowns all received one vote.

Great news! I was hoping not to win because I already have the album. I guess god hears an atheist’s prayer after all. :)

    Congrats, Ermon! You’ll love it.

Danny, you love it? Really? hehe

Of course. When the airwaves are playing nothing but 2nd rate hacks in today’s pinoy rock scene (or perhaps it’s just the radio stations), Villains is a much needed breath of fresh air. Let’s be honest, would you prefer listening to Bamboo or Rico Blanco instead?

I’m not exactly over the moon about it. It’s easily the weakest album of the six and there are some tracks that I just couldn’t listen to.
